WebObjects™ and WOnder
WebObjects™ is a Java web application server from Apple Inc. with hallmark features such as object-orientation, database connectivity, and a high degree of scalability. It is a powerful tool for providing flexible and dynamic web access to a single or multiple databases.
WebObjects was released in 1996 and currently powers such high traffic sites as the online Apple Store and the iTunes Store.
WebObjects is supported by an active developer community, and extended through a massive open-source project called Project WOnder. WOnder provides numerous features to augment WebObjects already significant capabilities. The combination is a solid development and deployment platform for web enabled database applications.
Whether as a back-end framework for a web application, or as a persistent cloud data store and web service for iOS applications, WebObjects enables us to deliver more capable solutions that are more scalable and more easily maintainable than any other development toolset in our arsenal.
